Birbirinden güzel kafelerin, meyhanelerin ve antikacıların bulunduğu Tünel Geçiti, İstiklal caddesinin bitiminde biraz kıyıda köşede kalmış bir bölgede yer alır. İnsana huzur veren atmosferi ile ilgi çeker.
The historical tunnel was opened in January 1875. The tunnel currently transports about 15.000 passengers between Karakoy and Tunel (the end of Taksim istiklal Street) with to railway cars every day.
Just across from the Tunel building in Tunel Square is the Tunel Pasaji (Tunnel Passage), a quiet lane filled with plants, antique shops, and the R.V. Cafe, a great (if pricey) place for a coffee, tea, herbal infusion, and/or slice of cake
